If you have an Athens login (available to all NHS staff, as well as students doing their training with the NHS, such as University of Cambridge clinical students), you have access to BMJ Best Practice, which is a great point-of-care tool to support you in your clinical work. The way you access BMJ Best Practice has changed, and the steps are now as follows:
1. Go to the Best Practice website at bestpractice.bmj.com, and click ‘log in’.
2. You will be presented with an option to ‘Access through your institution’ — please select this.
3. You will then need to search for your institution. For all of you, this will be ‘NHS in England’. You will then be asked to log in with your Athens username and password.
4. Click ‘continue’ to link your Athens account with your BMJ Best Practice personal account. You can then use the personal account to log in with BMJ Best Practice anywhere.
If you have any questions, please contact the Medical Library team.
