For publications (peer-reviewed articles and conference proceedings) published after 1st April 2016 to be eligible for the next REF, they must be made available in the University’s institutional repository when accepted for publication, and certainly no later than three months following the acceptance (not publication) date.  https://www.openaccess.cam.ac.uk/ for information on how to do this and we recommend you upload all publications into the repository from this point onwards in order that you are not caught out later.
