There will be a planned power outage in the Clinical School building on Friday, 8th November while engineers carry out essential repairs. This will affect all power in the Medical Library. The outage will begin at around 8.30am, at which point all power will cut out for approximately fifteen minutes. After this, power will be restored via a generator unit. There will be another shutdown at around 12.30pm, lasting fifteen minutes, when the power reverts back from the generator. If you are likely to be working at these times, please make sure you’ve saved your work and logged out well in advance.

Anyone planning to use library or NHS PCs, or make use of the printing, scanning and photocopying facilities should be aware of the timings for these outages, and ensure that they have saved and backed up any work in good time. Library staff will communicate with people using the PCs on the day to ensure they’re not adversely affected.

During the two periods of power outage, there will be no use of the toilets available anywhere in the Clinical School building.
