Over the month of December, we are celebrating the achievements of the Medical Library, and the various ways the library has helped support the learning, research, and professional lives of the people who use it. This project is called A Year in the Life of the Medical Library, and will feature posts here on the newsfeed, as well as on Twitter and Instagram, under the #MedLib19 hashtag.
Today, we want to highlight the number of people we’ve met for training and research support — a range of students, researchers, and staff working at Addenbrooke’s or beyond. The Medical Library training team have trained 2044 people, over a period of 2603 student hours, in 2019! Our training sessions have covered the following topics, and more:
- Literature searching
- Reference management software
- Writing for publication
- Conference posters
- Critical appraisal
- Reflective writing
- Research data management
- Systematic reviews
If you want to find out more about the training we offer, see our website. And there’s more time yet left in the year — get in touch if you want to add to our yearly total of training attendees!
