Cambridge University now has access to the newly updated 5th edition of the Diagnostic & Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders from American Psychiatric Publishing.

This is the new edition of the most comprehensive resource used by health professionals, social workers, and forensic and legal specialists to diagnose and classify mental disorders. It is the product of more than 10 years of effort by hundreds of international experts in all aspects of mental health.

The DSM offers a common language and standard criteria for the classification of mental disorders.  It is used, or relied upon, by clinicians, researchers, pschiatric drug regulation agencies, health insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, the legal system, and policy makers.

Together with the Manual, Cambridge has access to the DSM-5 Handbook of Differential Diagnosis and the DSM-5 Library of Clinical Cases.
