Patient safety and quality of care care be significantly improved by better access to information.
You can acheive this by taking your iPad onto the ward, but at what cost?
As more clinicians are bringing tablets and smart phones onto the wards (in some cases they’re being given the tablet by the hospital), it’s important to think about cleanliness.
But who can remember to clean their iPad on a sufficiently regular and thorough basis to ensure that cross-contamination is minimised?
There’s an app that can help with this whole problem.
Research published in August 2013 * tests whether an app loaded onto the iPad will help reduce bacterial contamination, and thus reduce infection.
Fancy getting the cleaning bug app?
deBac is availale from iTunes (but is not endored by Apple, and may affect your warrenty!)
