Every month we tweet out tips, links and tools about a resource or group of resources that will help Medical Library users with their studies, work, or research. In September, we focused on medical apps and websites — the sort of things that could be accessed easily, quickly, and for free from a smartphone or tablet and used on the wards to support clinical studies and work.
The first resource we highlighted was Patient.info — a website created by a GP to gather relevant, useful information about diseases and conditions and present this information from a patient perspective, using accessible, clear language.

In the following week, we highlighted the new BNF app, a searchable source of information about drugs and prescribing. If you prefer to access this information online rather than through the app, you can do so .

Finally, we highlighted the Medical Library website. Our homepage includes a newsfeed, which we constantly update with tips about useful resources, updates and changes to apps and websites, and upcoming training such as help with e-books. Our Research Support section is full of information on everything from academic writing to systematic reviews, as well a timetable of training and support offered. In this section you will also find a more exhaustive list of apps and websites than was possible to cover in this month’s series of tweets.
Our final resource is the library website. Bookmark our homepage for news, announcements, and useful information: https://t.co/NYhPvk3pxk
