From mid March 2020 many people including Medical Library staff began working from home. This was due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. In order to highlight as many resources as possible which can be used from home we decided to revisit some of our previous #ResourceOfTheMonth blog posts.
We began with how to access full text articles. There are a number of tools and websites that can maximise access to University of Cambridge full text. We tweeted about iDiscover, PubMed, Google Scholar and the Lean browser extension.
The first #ResourceOfTheMonth that we are revisiting is accessing full text articles. We tweeted and blogged about this in October 2019 https://t.co/V0k4r7hs9o
Resources were: using idiscover, pubmed, Google Scholar and Lean browser extension to maximise access to full text.— Cambridge Medical Library (@cam_med_lib) April 7, 2020
The second theme that we revisited was NHS Athens resources. The blog post includes instructions about how to register for an NHS Athens account and a number of NHS resources which can be accessed using it.
NHS Athens resources include BMJ Best Practice, Royal Marsden Manual of Clinical Nursing Procedures and healthcare databases.
Continuing with our theme for #ResourceOfTheMonth of revisiting previous blog posts, here is one from August 2019 in which we highlight some NHS Athens resources. The blog post includes instructions about how to register for an NHS Open Athens account.https://t.co/ORvT1MdyPx
