PubMed
The first resource of the month was PubMed which is a freely available medical database
Please be aware that the interface will be changing in Spring this year. The new interface is already available so please take time to ensure you are familiar with it as the old interface will be switched off.

Embase
The second resource was Embase which is another medical database. It can be accessed with either a Raven or Athens account
It can be accessed either with Raven (https://t.co/kXx65JGO5c) or an NHS OpenAthens Account (https://t.co/Z4ghE5f6kr) using the Open Athens option to log in.

Web of Science
Our next database was Web of Science. This is a multidisciplinary database so is useful to search if you are working across disciplines. Web of Science also allows you to discover who is citing particular articles which enables you to quickly see other research on your topic. A Raven account is needed to access this database.
This week our #ResourceOfTheMonth is Web of Science. Web of Science is a multidisciplinary database which includes links to citation indexes and Journal Impact Factors. Web of Science Core Collection can be accessed via this link https://t.co/txtXIPORup

The final resource in our series was Scopus. Like Web of Science it is a multidisciplinary database which also allows you to track citations on particular articles. A Raven account is needed to access this database.
Our final Big Four Database for our #ResourceOfTheMonth series is Scopus. It is a multidisciplinary database which includes links to citing articles and PlumX Metrics which include tweets, Wikipedia citations and Facebook likes. Scopus can be accessed here https://t.co/8cManM3rph
