We’re very happy to welcome you back to the newly refurbished Medical Library. Each day for the next week we will be introducing you to one new corner of the library. Yesterday you saw our Share space — a place for group work, with furniture to suit everyone’s needs, loads of University and NHS computers, as well as a printer and scanner.

Today we want to introduce you to our Shhh space.

This is the room to use when you want an enclosed, quiet space to really work and focus. The desks — all fitted with sockets so you can plug in your laptop — provide a nice sense of privacy.

Here’s a closer look at one of the desk spaces.

For those of you who prefer it, there are two standing desks in the Shhh space. These desks are adjustable, so that you can make sure they’re at the right height for you.

It’s great to see people are making good use of this room already! We look forward to seeing you here, and using every other room in the shiny new Medical Library.
