The Medical Library space will be closed on 2nd, 5th and 7th October due to clinical student exams which will be taking place in the library. This means that there is no access to the majority of the library space, other than for the students taking these exams.
What will be available during the closure
- Requests for books via Click and Collect — you can collect them from the library reception area as normal
- Borrowing (preordered books from Click and Collect only), returning and renewing of books from the self-service kiosk (but please be aware you cannot go into the library to pick up your own books from the shelves during the closure)
In between the exam closures
The library will be open as normal outside the exam hours — so between 4-7.45pm on 2nd, 5th and 7th October, from 9am-4.45pm on Saturday, 3rd October, and from 8am-7.45pm on 6th October. During those times, you can use the space and the computers, and browse the books on the shelves.
During the exam closures
Library staff will of course be on hand throughout the closure to support you and answer any enquiries via email, at library@medschl.cam.ac.uk. However, please ensure that you make alternative arrangements, should you want to research or study during those days, as the space – including computer and printer facilities – will not be accessible. We will look forward to welcoming you back as normal on 8th October.
