If you are used to keeping up to date by channeling RSS feeds into your Google Reader account, prepare for a change.
From 1st July 2013, Google will be discontinuing this service. (you can also read what the BBC has to say about it here.)
Anyone looking for alternatives might want to consider some of the following options:
– using NHS ATHENS login to access MyLibrary This tool can gather up you bookmarked websites as well as act as an RSS reader to help keep you up to date.
– creating a NetVibes account (this has a public side, and/or a private side – depending on how you like to work) In addition to its web-based RSS feed reading options, NetVibes also has iGoogle-style widgets.
