Trying to study or work in hotter weather can be very difficult, but our library’s Shhh room offers some air-conditioned respite from the summer heat. If you are finding the temperatures difficult in other parts of the library, you are very welcome to move to the Shhh room, which is our designated area for quiet, individual study, located in the connecting corridor between the two main sections of the library.  

The Shhh room has lots of individual desks, some of them height-adjustable. It also has a number of external monitors, where you can connect your laptops if you wish to have a larger or second screen on which to do your work.  

Please ask library staff if you need directions to cooler areas of the library, and don’t forget to fill up your water bottles at our water cooler.
